Holden and his wife Janice have 3 daughters and 8 grandchildren. He is also a member of The Arkansas Association of Education Administrators. Holden is a member and Treasurer of the Arkansas School Plant Management Association. Holden was selected by the Arkansas State Legislature in 2003 to be part of the Task Force to Joint Committee on Educational Facilities to help draw up rules and regulations for state mandates to help make sure that all facilities within the State of Arkansas are maintained adequately and within standards. Holden received the Man of the Year Award from the Cabot Chamber of Commerce. This program last year helped over 1,500 children in the Cabot School District during Christmas. His three key films and performances for me from that period being Sunset Boulevard, Stalag 17 and Bridge on the River Kwai, two of those Wilder productions you may note. Holden has been chairman for the Christmas for Kids program in Cabot since 1976. The Holden that I enjoy watching very much is that seasoned, cynical, increasingly ruggedly sexy Bill Holden from the 50s. During that year, he was recognized as the most improved State Chairman in the Nation. He became involved with the State Jaycees becoming State Chairman of the MDA Project for Jerry’s Kids in 1982. Holden was involved in the Cabot Jaycees in the later years of the 70’s and early years of the 80’s. During that time span he worked as a Custodian, then became Custodial Supervisor in 1987 and is now the Director of Custodial Services who is responsible for 83 Custodians District-wide. Holden has been with the Cabot School district for 35 years. He attended Arkansas State University at Beebe.
